Last week, the award for gaming HR specialists “Game Dev HR Awards” was held. At it, the participants of the event — various gaming companies — told and defended the HR projects that they had implemented.

7 projects became finalists. They touched on various areas of personnel management: from building an HR brand and psychological health, to recruiting and training specialists.

The event went as follows:

  • a few days before the event, the jury was sent detailed descriptions of the projects;
  • at the event itself, each company talked about its project in detail;
  • during the demonstration of the projects, the jury members asked the speaker questions;
  • as a result of the event, the projects that received the most points from the jury in total were named.

The following companies were recognized as winners:

  • Playgendary with the project “Mini-teams in the recruiting and HR department” in the category “Relevance“. The essence of the project was to divide the department into small teams, each of which is focused exclusively on working with one business unit.
  • Crazy Panda with the project “Online event in honor of the 10th anniversary of the company” in the nomination “Creativity“. As part of the project, the company conducted various online activities for employees for a whole week.
  • Wargaming St.Petersburg with the project “Internship Program” in the nomination “Innovation“. The essence of the project is the recruitment of personnel among novice specialists without experience in the industry through internships.

The jury consisted exclusively of experts from the field. It included:

  • Lena Timofeeva — HR Director — MyTona;
  • Alyona Vladimirskaya — founder of the eponymous “Career Laboratory“;
  • Maria Iogman — Talent Acquisition Director — Playrix;
  • Olga Abashova — HR Director — G5 Entertainment;
  • Yuri Boldov — Head of Recruitment — MY.GAMES;
  • Mikhail Pritula — CEO and Founder — Mike Pritula Talent Academy;
  • Lana Zvyagintseva — HR Director — FragLab;
  • Olga Kondratovich — HR Director — Belka Games;
  • Marina Lopatina — Project manager — Talents In Games.

Several participants have already shared their comments about the event.

For example, Artur Davydenko, Head of People Operations at Playgendary, liked “the idea itself and the opportunity to discuss issues with colleagues in a chat, the quality of the broadcast picture, as well as the jury (composition) and the quality of feedback (substantive, open).”

In turn, Anna Posazhennikova, HR Director of Wargaming in St. Petersburg, noted that such an event “is a very useful story for bringing together colleagues from the industry, exchanging experience and creating a space for constructive professional discussion.”

The award was supported by Talents In Games and MyTona.
