Lion Studios is going against the trend. While the bulk of mobile teams are trying themselves in a hyper-casual niche, the company that has earned a name in this niche is launching a hardcore project about the distant future, the construction of bases and giant walking robots.
Firestrike Tactics
According to AppMagic, the AppLovin division recently brought a game to softlonchFirestrike Tactics. Judging by the description and video, this is a real-time strategy about the development of fortifications, the collection of resources, the improvement of military equipment and the confrontation of clans (in the game they are called legions).
So far, the game has few downloads, a low rating and an unsatisfactory revenue-to-downloads ratio for such projects ($ 0.05 per installation). At the same time, from a graphical point of view, the projects look very expensive and, at least, worthy of attention.
Early Gameplay Video
In any case, the project looks strange in the Lion Studios portfolio. The company made its 866 million installations on uncomplicated projects with advertising monetization. Why right now she decided to diversify her library with a hardcore strategy is an open question.
