The release of Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to cause a big stir among the players. Over 1 million people played the game on Steam at the same time, breaking the site’s online record on launch day.Now the online of the new CD Projekt RED game is 796,150 people, and at its peak since the release, 1,003,264 Steam users played it at the same time.
The previous online record on launch day belonged to Fallout 4 — 472,962 players.
Now Cyberpunk 2077 ranks fourth on Steam in terms of the peak number of simultaneous players for all time. There are three popular multiplayer projects ahead: Dota 2 (1.2 million users), CS:GO (1.3 million) and PUBG (3.2 million).
The release of Cyberpunk 2077 took place on the night of December 9-10. The average rating of the game on Metacritic was 91 points, but only 71% of players left positive reviews on Steam.
