There are a lot of changes in the latest Steam bestseller chart. The Overlord add—on for Stellaris, released at the end of the week, was among the leaders - it took second place immediately after Steam Deck, which topped the ranking for the fifth week in a row. Red Dead Redemption 2 also returned to the chart.
Stellaris: Overlord
Overlord was released on Thursday, May 12th. Immediately after its release, Stellaris grew dramatically online. If on May 11, a maximum of 11,451 people played the game at the same time, then the next day there were 37,198 people. Despite the hype, the add-on itself received only 48% positive ratings on Steam.
The third place in the chart went to Elden Ring.
The survival horror The Forest is in fourth place thanks to a 70% discount. Also, a 50-60% discount helped to return Red Dead Redemption 2 to the top ten best-selling games of the week, two editions of which took ninth and tenth places.
The puzzle We Were Here Forever, released on May 10, got the fifth place in the chart. It was followed by Songs of Conquest, a turn—based strategy game in the spirit of Heroes of Might and Magic.
Monster Hunter: Rise dropped from fourth to eighth place in a week.
