The Bait! project, developed for Gear VR, has been downloaded more than 700 thousand times in five months since its release.
Recall that in June, the developer company Resolution Games reported that the free game had overcome the threshold of 500 thousand installations. It turns out that at the moment, on average, the game is downloaded 100 thousand times a month.
By mobile standards, this is not much, but it is very significant for VR. Moreover, for Samsung Gear VR, whose MAU in April was 1 million (so far, most users are mainly interested in video devices on the site, not games).
Whether everything is going well with the project from a commercial point of view (and metrics like retention, session length, etc.) is unknown. The co-founder and CEO of Resolution Games, Tommy Palm, who became famous as one of the authors of the original Candy Crush Saga, only noted that he was very pleased with the interest in the product from the VR and gaming communities.
In any case, the company has money. A year ago, $6 million was invested in it. Then the leading investor of the Swedish company was Google Ventures.
