It sometimes seems to us that developers who release blockbusters on mobile devices that cost a few bucks and are more suitable for consoles than for touch screens of smartphones and tablets, dream of one magical moment. This is the moment when they will raise enough money to create a dream game for Xbox One/PS4.
There are few companies that have come from the mobile market to the console market. Among the obvious examples are GungHo and Rovio, for which access to new platforms was due to the desire to expand the presence of their own IP. As for those who fundamentally “aim” at the console while sitting in the “mobile ghetto”, there have not been such “transitions” in our memory yet. But we have repeatedly observed the opposite situations when console developers tried themselves in mobile development.
But if ever mobile companies start moving under the banners of consoles, N-Fusion Interactive will be among the first under them. Her last year’s Deus Ex: The Fall was very warmly received by players and the press, although it is very difficult to get pleasure from playing a shooter on a tablet. But it was beautiful and almost like on “big” platforms. However, the talk that it would be nice to transfer the game at least to a PC did not stop for a long time. Eventually, the company released the game on Steam.
It is difficult to say how successful, but the studio plans to release its next project – Space Noir – immediately on tablets and on PC.
Space Noir is a simulator of a futuristic flying ship. Something like a domestic “Storm” from Madia Entertainment in the scenery of a gloomy future. They promise a campaign of 35 missions and a story about an intergalactic conspiracy.
How much such a project is needed for Android and iOS tablets is an open question. Also, everything is ambiguous about the PC. On the one hand, there are no interesting projects in this genre in this market right now. On the other hand, it is not clear whether a cross-platform project will not look archaic in the personal computer market?
Unity Games will release the game on mobile platforms. The release is promised in the summer.
N-Fusion Interactive is an independent studio in New Jersey, founded in 1997, engaged in the development and publication of games. Among the most notable titles are Air Mail, Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded and Deus Ex: The Fall.A source:
