Niantic Studio, in partnership with the media company Warner Brothers, is developing a mobile augmented reality game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite based on the “Harry Potter” franchise.
Like Pokémon GO, the gameplay of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will be tied to geolocation and exploration of the real environment.
“Players will explore areas of cities around the world in search of adventures, learn and apply spells, search for artifacts, meet legendary creatures and key characters [of the Harry Potter universe],” Niantic said in an official press release.
It is known that together with Niantic, the San Francisco office of the WB Games gaming division will work on Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
