Employees of the Finnish studio Almost Human, known for the indie role-playing game Legend of Grimrock, founded their own company Alt Ctrl Ninja.
Alt Ctrl Ninja was founded by software designer Petri Haakkenen and art director Juho Salila.
Not rival, but friendly relations were established between the studios.
Almost Human is not currently engaged in new projects, and many employees have joined Alt Ctrl Ninja to work on the Druidstone role-playing project: The Secret of the Menhir Forest. The developers themselves say that it’s as if they were musicians and played in two groups at the same time.
To the Druidstone Hero: The Secret of the Menhir Forest will explore procedurally generated locations, solve simple puzzles, assemble a party and defeat monsters in turn-based tactical battles.
The development of the game began last fall, the release date is still unknown. Details can be found on the project‘s website.
