Last Friday, the release of the horror The Callisto Protocol took place. The game was poorly received, especially the PC version. Users criticized it for poor optimization, numerous bugs and much more. As a result, The Callisto Protocol was able to receive only 27% positive reviews on Steam. Critics were not too enthusiastic about horror either — they rated the game 72-76 points depending on the platform (Metacritic).
However, on December 3, the developers released a patch that solved some of the problems on the PC. After that, the rating of The Callisto Protocol on Steam rose to 54%.
Note that, according to game director Glen Schofield, horror at the start turned out to be almost unplayable due to human error. Someone in the studio hurried and uploaded the wrong file to the release version of the project.
