In the monthly top sales of games in the United States, which is compiled by the analytical company NPD Group, the first place was taken by the horror State of Decay 2 from Undead Labs and Microsoft Studios.
God of War, released in April, dropped to second place. In addition to State of Decay 2, two May new items were in the top 10 – Detroit: Become Human from Quantic Dream studio and Hyrule Warriors Definitive Ed slasher for Nintendo Switch.
As for sales for the whole of 2018, by the end of May, the shooter Far Cry 5 continues to be the leader. God of War also took second place in this indicator, pushing Monster Hunter: World.
Note. For most titles, NPD takes into account sales of both digital and physical copies of games. But for Nintendo games, the company has no data on digital sales, and in the case of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, sales on Battle.net .
