Greg Zeschuk, co-founder of BioWare, has returned to the gaming industry as one of the leaders of the Canadian startup Biba Ventures. The company develops augmented reality mobile gaming applications for children’s playgrounds.

The applications Biba Ventures is working on are designed to interact with both special toys and playgrounds, as well as with ordinary ones.
Recently it became known that the company signed a partnership agreement with the manufacturer of children’s toys PlayPower.
The first applications of this kind, according to Zeshchuk, will turn playgrounds into “wrecked robotic ships that can be explored with the help of a virtual friend.” Children will receive tasks during the game, for which they will be awarded points. The results can be compared online.
The target audience of the project is children, but it is assumed that the applications will be used by adults so that they can control the process.
Zeshchuk left the studio he founded in 2012, after which he worked for a long time on a series of commercials about beer The Beer Diaries.
