Resident Evil 7 has doubled the average duration of VR sessions on PS4

A Sony representative told Engadget that a regular session in PlayStation VR games lasts about 25 minutes. But in the VR mode of Resident Evil 7, players spent about an hour on average.

“We found that some genres are very well combined with the capabilities of VR. Horror is one of such genres,” Sony noted.

According to the official statistics of Capcom, almost 300 thousand people played in the VR mode of Resident Evil, which is about 30% of the total number of owners of the PlayStation VR system. According to Sony on October 13 of this year, PSVR owns 1 million players.
