Today we have two games in our selection – one from Novosibirsk, and the other from Indonesia. Meet: The Treasures of Montezuma 4 and Vimala: Defense Warlords.
The Treasures of Montezuma 4
Alawar has released the fourth part of one of its most popular game lines – “Treasures of Montezuma”. Like the original trilogy, the novelty cannot be attributed to free-2-play games. We are talking about freemium: download the trial version, if you like, buy access to the full functionality.
The project has a lot of diverse content: a full-fledged plot, real 3D, as many as three game modes (“quest”, “story”, “puzzle”). It would seem good, but at the same time the game has enough minuses.
- The game is not designed for vertical orientation of the screen (this is a real minus, considering how everyone plays games of this genre today);
- missions immediately end after gaining the required number of points or completing tasks, cutting off the game session;
- visually, the game looks much worse than the third part (excessive detail, poisonous colors, a lot of gray and gray-brown, etc.).

Vimala: Defense Warlords
An unexpected project from the Indonesian team of Masshive Media. Vimala is a real shareware turn-based strategy with capturing key points on the map, a battle system in the spirit of Disciples and pumping heroes.
The project is difficult to understand for the first five minutes (the tutorial is more annoying than helpful), but as soon as it ends, everything falls into place. In a nutshell, the player has several heroes that he can dress and pump. He can use them to fight in game missions, which are very simplified “Heroes of Might and Magic”: there is a playing field with castles and sources of resources, the task is to defeat rivals by destroying the enemy capital. The battles themselves, already within the framework of the mission, take place within the framework of turn-based battles, reminiscent of the already mentioned creation of Strategy First.
