On April 13, the narrative arcade game Full of Stars from the Polish studio AtGames, known for the Puzzle Craft series, was released in the App Store. Why the novelty is worth the obligatory attention is in our short note.

What?

A mix of a text quest in the spirit of Lifeline and “Space Rangers”, a resource manager a la Out There and a runner.

How?

The player in the story flies from planet to planet. At each one, he is given a small exposition or story. Flights are built as a complex runner. In case of contact with obstacles, the player receives a quest to solve a crisis situation. The resolution requires resources that the player receives as part of the runner.

Quests can be skipped for hard currency and advertising.

Why pay attention?

An interesting and well-realized concept.

What should I be ready for?

If you like to read, you will be very annoyed by the skill-demanding flights from star to star “for a new portion of the plot.”
