In the Playrix family of casual match-games, replenishment should be expected very soon. The company has launched a new game — Farmscapes within the framework of sotflonch. This is a traditional game for the Scapes series with a plot and meta about decoration, but with one key difference — a new basic mechanics.

Farmscapes

In Farmscapes, players will not need to swipe to destroy chips, but tap (recall, this mechanic is called collapse). Thus, the game “enters the field” of Turkish casual blockbusters from Peak Games. It is her Toy Blast and Toon Blast that have been the main box office hits in the “tap” niche in recent years (their monthly earnings for two are $39 million, according to App Magic).

But the novelty will have to compete not only with them. A year ago, the Danish Tactile Games launched Lily’s Garden. This game is very close in approach to Farmscapes. There is a meta in which the player restores the house and garden, and the main mechanics are also tied to taps. Now the project is developing rapidly. Its monthly revenue is $12 million and continues to grow.

Also, do not forget about Supercell, which is entering the market of collapse projects. In March, the Finnish studio finished Hay Day Pop, in which the player passes colorful match-levels, and then rebuilds the farm and harvests from the beds. So far, the project has not come out of the “soft launch”, but from month to month it earns more and more with a decrease in the number of downloads.

By the way, in the noughties, Playrix already released a game under the name Farmscapes (in Russia it was called “Marvelous Ranch“). It was a premium project in which the player helped the grandfather of the main character to equip the farm, passing hidden and match-3 levels.

Original Farmscapes

Farmscapes for Playrix is not the first softlonch this summer. Earlier, the company launched a midcore match-3 from RJ Games in the “preliminary swimming”. The novelty is called Puzzle Breakers and is a reinterpretation of Empires & Puzzles from the Finnish Small Giant Games.
