The first announcement in a very long time from Moscow Pixonic. The studio is going to release a new mobile multiplayer project soon. It is called Dino Squad and is dedicated to team battles on dinosaurs.

The project officially became known only today, when Pixonic announced pre-registration for the novelty. It goes without a landing page. The project is added to the list of expected releases via the App Store and Google Play.

Judging by the first available videos, the game resembles the main blockbuster of the studio — War Robots. In both cases, we are talking about team PvP battles on killing machines. Only instead of mechs — prehistoric creatures, hung with futuristic weapons.

In addition to a different setting, among the key differences that catch your eye are more compact maps, increased gameplay dynamics, which now differs significantly depending on which type of fighter (here — dinos) is selected by the user.

Pixonic claims that Dino Squad has become a testing ground for her to experiment both in mechanics and in selected technologies. As an example, the studio cites the following case:

To make the game work well even with a bad connection, we added a network delay compensation algorithm on top of the mechanics of ballistic projectile calculation.

The full launch of the game is expected at the end of April.

Recall that the previous major release of Pixonic took place in April 2014. Then she released War Robots, which is currently one of the highest-grossing Russian games. According to the AppMagic analytical service, she earned about $250 million for all time only on IAP. The total downloads of the game are more than 150 million.
