The Moscow studio Nekki, known for projects such as Vector and Shadow Fight 2, officially presented the game Shadow Fight 3, and also announced its release date.
The novelty, like the previous parts of the series, is a fighting game in which the player, using touch sticks, fights his hero with the characters of other players, pumps him, and also equips him.
One of the changes in the third part that catches the eye is the transition to 3D and the rejection of black silhouettes of fighters (the shadows themselves remained in the game, but represent characters who activated a special ability). Now the game looks like a mix of the latest Soul Calibur and Street Fighter: from the first – realistic proportions of the characters, from the second – a bright color palette.
Other innovations include factions with different fighting styles, new opportunities for detailed character customization, and much more.
The project, according to the developers, has been in development for more than two years, the team has spent about 80 thousand working hours on it in total.
“The success of the first part of Shadow Fight has greatly contributed to the growth of the Nekki brand, and we have invested a lot of effort to make a worthy continuation of a worthy game,” Dmitry Terekhin, founder and CEO of Nekki, said in connection with the announcement.
To date, mobile downloads of the series have reached 110 million, and social versions of Shadow Fight have achieved another 50 million installations,” Sergey Babaev, Director of Business Development at Nekki, said in an interview with us.
The release of the third part on the iOS and Android mobile platforms is scheduled for this fall. In the future, the game will appear on other platforms, including Xbox One.
