Downloads of the Critical Ops mobile PvP shooter by the Finnish studio Critical Force exceeded 34 million. The soft launch of the game took place 2.5 years ago. The DAU of the project has passed the mark of 1 million players.
The title has gained the last 4 million downloads in the last 4 months.
The game is successfully promoted on social networks. In them, more than half a million users monitor C-Ops accounts.
According to the creators of Critical Ops, over the past year they managed to turn the project into a full-fledged esports discipline and set the standard for mobile competitive games.
Critical Force CEO Veli-Pekka Piirainen noted that 2017 was a “phenomenal” year for the company, and the studio staff has grown by a quarter during this time.
In November last year, Korean businessman Kevin Chou joined the board of directors of Critical Force. Previously, he headed the gaming company Kabam and founded a large esports organization in Korea, Korean Silicon Valley, which manages the country’s top teams in Overwatch, PUBG and other disciplines.
Critical Ops is very similar to the famous Counter-Strike. The game is distributed according to the frituplay model.
