The authors of Candy Crush Saga are working on a fantasy-style role-playing game.
Candy and jelly company King continues to make timid steps in the midcore direction. The company has released the Hero game on Singapore and South African Google Play.
All that can be said about the project so far is that the game will:
- vertical orientation of the screen (rare for role-playing projects);
- UI under one arm;
- village shading (also not the most popular solution);
- free-to-play.
King itself positions Hero as an action RPG with the ability to choose one of three heroes (mage, archer and warrior).
Earlier, King, now owned by Activision-Blizzard, has already talked about its plans to take up the development of midcore projects. In particular, its Singapore division – the former Nonstop Games – has already had a similar experience. She developed and released the Heroes of Honor strategy before the takeover of King.
