It all started with the fact that the authors of Polygon spotted the appearance of a new vacancy on the EA website. Electronics is currently looking for a “senior designer” for Maxis. It would seem to be ordinary news, if not for one point: among the requirements are experience in developing MMO, as well as an understanding of The Sims and games like Little Big Planet, Minecraft and mods for them.
Based on this, our colleagues from Gamezebo immediately made an assumption: Maxis, at least, is going to make his Minecraft with blackjack and girls. However, according to them, it is quite possible to restart the development of The Sims Online, which will be monetized through the Free-to-play model.
In any case, it is difficult to talk about whether the project will be mobile or not.
