The ideological heir of racing games of the late 80s – early 90s – Horizon Chase – will be released this August.
This can be understood from the teaser of the game, recently published in the official blog of the project.
The developers of Horizon Chase themselves, according to them, pay tribute to such titles as Lotus Turbo Challenge, Outrun, Top Gear and Lamborghini American Challenge with their project.
Judging by the game clips, screenshots, and the fact that Barry Leitch, the composer of Top Gear released for the SNES in 1992, writes music for Horizon Chase, the guys take their nostalgia very seriously.
Another thing is that, unlike many, they do not go to the extreme. The team is not making a retro game with 16-bit graphics, but rather how many today imagine what they played more than twenty years ago.
The game developer is Aquiris Studio, specializing in creating custom games and applications for studios like Cartoon Network and Disney.
