The Russian company Gaijin Entertainment announced the release of The Abandoned, the first project created as part of inCubator, a program to support games from independent teams.

Gaijin выпустила мобильный сурвайвал с открытым миром

The novelty is a survival horror with an open world for mobile devices. The player’s goal is to find a way out of the Zone, a territory apparently inspired by the Strugatsky brothers’ novel “Roadside Picnic” and the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

It is possible to survive and achieve the ultimate goal in the game only if the player creates tools, builds dwellings, searches for food in the world and, of course, destroys numerous monsters inhabiting the Zone.

According to first impressions, the project vaguely resembles the survival of The Forest, which was released in early access on Steam in the spring of 2014: The Abandoned is also a gloomy project in the atmosphere.

Yadon Studio, headed by David Filippov, acted as the developers of the game. The latter was previously a product manager at Gaijin, head of the studio at Game Insight, and before that – from 2006 to 2011 – headed the 1C development department.

The Abandoned was the first game released with the support of the Gaijin incubator. The latter was launched last spring.

As we understand, Gaijin continues to actively search for projects for the program. The Moscow company is interested in teams of up to 10 people looking for a publisher and producer for their game.
