Star Wars: Battlefront 2 following Titanfall 2 and Mass Effect: Andromeda will not receive a season pass for future DLC. Instead, EA promised users “something different.”

EA Creative Director Bernd Diemer he said that the company is working on some kind of alternative to season tickets, which will allow “to enjoy the game longer and not fragment the community.”

Dimer was referring to the experience of the first part of Battlefront 2015, DLC for which were available through a season pass. The owners of the basic version could not play with the owners of the add-ons, and this complicated the search for matches for both.

This time EA intend to avoid such a situation, but they have not yet disclosed what exactly they will replace season tickets with. The company added that it will take into account the wishes of the community of Battlefront players who want to find “more depth, development and content” in the sequel.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will be released in November this year.
