The three-in-a-row Cookie Jam of the Californian developer Jam City (formerly SGN Games) has gained 100 million downloads.
It took the game 3 years to overcome this milestone.
Today, the daily audience of the puzzle reaches 5 million players, and in 2014 Facebook named Cookie Jam the game of the year. The title is included in Top 100 highest-grossing apps of the American App Store.
Thanks to the success of Cookie Jam, Jam City decided to expand the franchise of the game with the release of Cookie Jam Blast.
The head of Jam City, Chris DeWolfe, believes that Cookie Jam can turn into a multibillion-dollar business.
“Cookie Jam was Jam City’s most successful title and the first game we decided to make a franchise. We believe that its potential is enough to turn into a multibillion—dollar project,” DeWolf said.
