Bandai Namco’s Tekken 7 fighting game has sold over 2 million copies on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One since its launch in June this year.
Tekken 7 took three months to get ahead of its closest competitor in the genre — Street Fighter V.
Console sales of the Capcom fighting game since its release in February 2016 amount to 1.7 million copies.
But Street Fighter V is still ahead of Tekken 7 in sales on the Steam platform — the PC version of the game from Capcom was bought by over half a million gamers, while Namco title sales here are in the region of 300 thousand copies.
