Electronic Arts and DICE announced the release of the sequel to Star Wars Battlefront this year. The first trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II will be shown on April 15 at the Star Wars Celebration Panel in Orlando.
Rumors about the continuation of Star Wars Battlefront have been circulating for some time, but on March 29, developers and publishers officially announced it for the first time.
As previously reported, the events of Star Wars Battlefront II will cover several eras of the Star Wars universe, including the time intervals of the new saga films — Force Awakens and Rogue One.
Electronic Arts CEO Andrea Wilson has promised that there will be more locations and characters in the sequel than in the original.
Star Wars Battlefront was released in 2015 and sold 14 million copies.
