Beamdog studio is preparing to release a reissue of the role-playing game Planescape: Torment.

Beamdog has already released “modernised” versions of such role-playing hits as Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Icewind Dale.

Chris Avellone, the chief designer of the original game, was involved in the work on Planescape: Torment Enchanted Edition.

In addition to optimizing the game for modern platforms, Beamdog also re-recorded the soundtrack, made support for 4K resolution and localized Planscape: Torment in French, German and Polish.

The game will be released on Windows, iOS, Linux and Android platforms.

Planescape: Torment by Black Isle Studio was released in 1999. The action takes place in the setting of the multidimensional Planescape universe. The game was distinguished by great attention to dialogues, black humor and a philosophical plot about the essence of human nature.
