Last week, Battlefield 2042 climbed to the top of the Steam bestseller chart, beating Forza Horizon 5. Thanks to various publications, the multiplayer shooter from DICE took three lines at once, including the first. But New World for the first time in eight weeks failed to get into the top ten best-selling games.
Battlefield 2042
The release of Battlefield 2042 is scheduled for November 19, but you can play the shooter since last Friday.
On November 12, the developers opened early access to the game to buyers of Gold and Ultimate editions, as well as subscribers of EA Play and Xbox Game Pass.
Despite strong sales — in addition to the first place, Battlefield 2042 is also located on the fourth and fifth — the estimates of the project are far from ideal. Although critics on Metacritic gave the PC version of the shooter 80 points out of 100, gamers gave it only 2.6 points out of 10. The user rating for most console versions is even lower. For example, the PlayStation 4 version of the title received only 0.9 points. Basically, gamers scold Battlefield 2042 for a lot of bugs, poor optimization, poor weapon balance and large empty maps.
The leader of the previous week, Forza Horizon 5, this time took second and third place in the Steam chart.
Age of Empires IV dropped in the ranking from second to sixth place. Elden Ring did not hold the position either, which moved from the third line to the ninth. While Football Manager 2022 continued to occupy the eighth place.
The seventh place in the Steam bestseller chart went to the update to the anniversary edition of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and the tenth to the game Jurassic World Evolution 2.
