The developer of the original Puzzle Quest, Infinite Interactive studio, together with the Wizard of the Coast company will create a game Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest based on the Magic: The Gathering universe.
The game mechanics and RPG elements in the project will remain from Puzzle Quest. The game will inherit the visual design and components of the card fighting game from the desktop MTG.
The Australian team has already used a similar technique. In 2013, she developed Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign for the Marvel franchise, in 2015 she became the author of Adventure Time Puzzle Quest for the universe of the animated series Adventure Times. In both cases, the publisher was D3PA.
This time the publisher of the game will be D3 Go! – a division of D3PA. This is reported in the company’s press release.
The project will be released on iOS and Android before the end of this year.
