The Ashes of Creation role-playing MMO project raised $1 million in the first two days of the Kickstarter campaign.
The game managed to gain initial funding of $ 750 thousand in 12 hours.
Ashes of Creation is being developed by Intrepid Studios, which has gathered veterans of the gaming industry under its roof. They participated in the creation of Star Wars Galaxies, Planetside 1 and 2, XCOM: Enemy Within, EverQuest and other titles.
Intrepid Studios creative director Steven Sharif promised to bring new ideas to the genre of role-playing MMO games.
For example, in the world of Ashes of Creation, a system of “nodes” will be implemented, in which locations will accumulate experience from active actions of gamers, and in the busiest “nodes” players will be able to build a village, a city or an entire fortress, depending on the effort expended.
In addition to urban planning and settlement management, players will be able to develop the economy, lay trade routes, and so on.
There are 30 days left until the end of the Ashes of Creation funding campaign. The first of the additional goals has already been achieved: mini-games in taverns.
