Apparently, VKontakte has established regular publication of projects for its mobile platform. Less than a month has passed since the last release, and the social network together with Novosibirsk Alawar presented “Goblins: Defenders”. Two days ago, the game was released on iOS and Android.
In her maiden name, the game was called Goblin Defenders 2, which is clearly hinted at by the title screen, which is not redrawn under the Russian name. The original title was the ideological heir to the Tower Defense series from Com2uS, where towers could be placed anywhere on the map.
The second part of the gameplay is closer to the Kingdom Rush series – the towers are placed strictly in the designated places, there is also a hero on the map, and you can periodically cast assistants for him.
The key difference from the creation of Ironhide is the shareware distribution model and the economy of the game adapted to it, in which there was a place for energy and two currencies.
A curious fact: Goblin Defenders 2 under its own name and without VK support was released back in May of this year. Only above the 641 place in Russia, she did not rise in the Top Overall. Will social network traffic help the game become a hit?
