Back 4 Blood has been leading the Steam bestseller chart for the past two weeks. However, now the first line (and with it the second and seventh) was taken by Age of Empires IV. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was also among the top ten best-selling games last week.
Age of Empires IV
Age of Empires IV appeared on Steam on October 28 and overtook all other games in the series by starting online.
On the day of release, 54,851 people played the historical RTS simultaneously. For comparison, Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition has the maximum online peak for the entire existence of 20,146 people.
At the time of writing the news, the peak of online Age of Empires IV has already reached 73,928. At the same time, the actual online game may be even more, since the title is also part of the Xbox Game Pass, but Microsoft does not share game data.
The third place in the Steam bestseller chart is occupied by New World, which was in second place last time. The leader of the previous week, Back 4 Blood, dropped to the fourth line of the rating.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy debuted in fifth place. Unlike Age of Empires IV, the Guardians of the Galaxy game could not boast of a strong online experience — the maximum number of simultaneous players in it was only 10,989 people.
Football Manager 2022, which is being prepared for release on November 9, fell from third to sixth place in the chart. The psychological horror Inscryption also lost its position — it went to the eighth place, although it previously occupied the fourth.
Closes the list of the best—selling games Forza Horizon 5 – for a week the game dropped from eighth to ninth place in the chart.
