Unity Technologies, together with the Pluralsight training platform, has launched a course to teach the development of three-dimensional games on the Unity engine from the ground level.

Participants are invited to master basic techniques of working with Unity, including writing scripts in C#, animating objects and placing lighting. In addition, the course offers to learn the basics of creating models in 3D editors.

The program includes 23 hours of basic video tutorials and about 80 hours of additional content.

The project of the Swords and Shovels game, specially created for educational purposes, will become a testing ground for practicing the studied skills.

According to Unity Technologies, students who have completed the course will receive enough skills to develop a full-fledged game on the Unity engine.

Currently, the cost of a month of access to the course materials is $12.
