The Japanese company Square Enix announced the urgent recruitment of employees to the Final Fantasy VII Remake development team.

Messages about hiring employees on the official Square Enix website were posted by Director of Photography Tetsuya Nomura, producer Yoshinori Kitase and development leader Naoki Hamaguchi.

Nomura’s message says that Square Enix is “urgently” looking for additional talents to the development team of the Final Fantasy VII remake.

“Since there are not as many developers in Japan as our colleagues from other countries, we urgently need to recruit as many high—class employees as possible to strengthen the Final Fantasy VII Remake working team,” Tetsuya Nomura wrote.

A recruitment message from Yoshinori Kitase states that Square Enix aims to “qualitatively surpass the original Final Fantasy VII by expanding the team of developers.” Kitase also said that the development of the project is moving “into the development stage.”

The remake of the 7th part of the Final Fantasy role-playing series is timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the original game and the 30th anniversary of the game franchise. It is reported that Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released in episodes on the PlayStation 4 platform. The release date is still unknown.
