The Cyberpunk 2077 team asked for outside help. According to media reports, three local studios were involved in the work on the title. They are jointly trying to optimize the game for consoles.

The other day, the company announced the postponement of the release date of Cyberpunk 2077. The developers faced technical difficulties, primarily on consoles. For example, the test results on the classic Xbox One were found to be “extremely unsatisfactory.”

By the new release date — September 17 — the team must solve technical problems and a number of other tasks. According to PolskiGamdev.pl This forced her to attract other Polish studios: QLOC, Testronic and Crunching Koalas. All three have experience in porting video games.

  • QLOC has been testing Cyberpunk 2077 before. But now she has been entrusted with technical polishing and the creation of assets.
  • Testronic is professionally engaged in testing, optimization and localization.
  • The tasks of Crunching Koalas are not named, but it is assumed that it will also help with porting to the console.

Media sources report that other, unnamed studios could have been thrown at the development. “I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole Polish game dev helps to make Cyberpunk,” the author of the publication writes. In addition, about 700 people create the game in CD Projekt RED itself.

Third-party teams have been involved in the work on Cyberpunk 2077 before, for example, the Canadian Digital Scapes in 2018. The companies have concluded a long-term strategic cooperation. But how exactly Digital Scapes helps is unclear.

In addition, in the same year CD Projekt RED bought the Polish indie studio Strange New Things. And also to work on Cyberpunk 2077. Recall that the publisher expects that this project will surpass the scale of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
