Marmalade at the beginning of the tenth was one of the most popular tools for developing mobile games. The solution is a wrapper that allows you to run native applications on different operating systems with minimal modification. With his help, Cut the Rope, Doodle Jump, Plants vs. Zombies, “Planet of Gems” and other games were developed.

In September 2016, the developer company Marmalade Technologies announced plans to stop supporting the Marmalade Game Platform development platform, of which the engine is a part.
