The developer of GameMaker Studio 2, YoYo Games, has agreed with Microsoft to provide users of the engine with access to the Xbox Creators Program.

Participation in the Xbox Creators Program allows developers to quickly and directly publish their games on Xbox One under a simplified certification procedure and without concept approval.

“Just sign up at the Windows Development Center, create a GameMaker game for the Universal Windows Platform, and you’re ready to launch on Xbox One for the entire Xbox audience,” said Chris Charla, director of the Windows program for Independent developers ID@Xbox.

200 thousand people use GameMaker Studio 2 every month.
