Popular science publishing house CRC Press and a social platform for game developers GameDev.net released a free digital brochure Practices of Game Design & Indie Game Marketing.

The 93-page edition includes three chapters devoted to the stages of production and promotion of a video game — from coming up with a concept to designing levels and marketing your creation.

Practices of Game Design & Indie Game Marketing is a compilation of key points from three other books published by CRC Press.

The work on ideas for game design is devoted to: The Art of Game Design: A Book of Lenses, the device of game levels is analyzed in detail in An Architectural Approach to Level Design, and tips on sales and promotion of the title are taken from A Practical Guide to Indie Game Marketing.
