The number of game studios in Scotland has grown by 600% in five years, details of a toy for Iron Maiden fans have appeared, and Facebook has been named the best advertiser in mobile.
1. Scottish game development is on the rise: over the past five years, there have been 600% more game studios in the country. The Scottish National Party conducted a study and found that in 2010 there were only 15 studios in the entire region. And by 2015, this figure had increased to 100. However, 2/3 of the companies are small. The staff in such studios is less than 50 people.
2. The Iron Maiden: Legacy Of The Beast project is overgrown with details. The first screenshots of the gameplay have appeared (although the exact release date is not yet called). Recall that the game is based on the mythology of the Iron Maiden group. The authors were the creators of Warhammer 40,000: Carnage from the Roadhouse Interactive studio. The main feature of the project, of course, is an authentic sanudtrek. The launch is planned this summer.
3. AppsFlyer analytical agency investigated 2.5 billion mobile installations from October 2015 to January 2016. As a result, we have a list of the best advertisers, and Facebook tops this list. The company had the best results in terms of the set of metrics. The full version of the list is published here.
