Electronic Arts opens an esports division, TinyCo announces Marvel Avengers Academy, and Disney releases a battler about Scrooge McDuck.
- Electronic Arts has opened a new division – EA Competitive Gaming Division or CGD. In Russian, its name can be translated as “competitive gaming”. It will be mainly engaged in three things: helping to integrate competitive “experience” into EA products, working closely with the community of players, as well as organizing events and all kinds of network and not only activity.
The new division was headed by Peter Moore, who became famous during the promotion of Halo 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV. Since 2007, he has been the head of EA’s sports division. The appearance of a competitive “division” of electronics indicates that the company is following the path of working closely with the community and focused on e-sports Blizzard and Riot Games.
- TinyCo, known for all sorts of cute builders, like Tiny Monsters and Tiny Village, has been working with franchises for the second year. Last year, the company released Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff, and in the next, as it became known today, is going to please, apparently, the time manager of Marvel Avengers Academy about Thor and Captain America in adolescence. The video, by the way, is cool.
- Disney has released a game on the App Store with the gorgeous title The Duckforce Rises. Do you feel, yes, that Star Wars with Mickey Mouse is just around the corner? The game itself is a mix of a battler with a collectible card game in the setting of the cartoon “Duck Stories”. It sounds crazy, it looks too, who will play – tell us how it is.
That’s it, have a good weekend!
