Lionhead may still release Fable Legends, Pokemon Go is about to appear on the Western market, and GungHo suddenly turned out to be the owner of the rights to the turn-based mobile strategy Super Senso, which Nexon previously owned.
1. There is information that Lionhead may continue to develop Fable Legends. The MCV resource learned about this from an anonymous source in the development team. The assumption is because Lionhead employees were asked if they wanted to continue developing the RPG or would prefer to simply receive compensation after the studio closes. Recall that in early March, Microsoft announced that the Fable Legends project would be canceled, and the developer studio might be dissolved. After that, Sony offered Lionhead employees a tour device.
2. This month, Pokemon GO softlonch will take place in the western market. The game, which has already passed a trial run in Japan, will be tested in Australia and New Zealand. So far, according to the TouchArcade resource, the game is far from perfect from a technical point of view.
3. The Japanese company GungHo signed an agreement with Turbo studio, following which it became the publisher of the debut game of an American startup – the turn-based strategy Super Senso. The news is interesting in itself, because it means that the game (which we wrote about here) is about to launch for the whole world after the softlonch. But separately, attention is drawn to the fact that up to this point, Nexon, not GungHo, was considered the “owner of exclusive rights to world publication”. It is unclear what caused the company to abandon the publishing agreement. The Pocketgamer resource suggests that it’s about money: GungHo thought that Super Senso would be a hit, and bought the rights from Nexon. Either the game has been in the softlonch for too long, and Nexon has simply lost interest in it. Which of the assumptions is correct, it will be possible to find out only after the project is launched.
