All the main news of the day in one publication. Today’s release: Supercell is considering working with external studios, the full version of GameMaker: Studio has entered the Humble Bundle, Molineux has released a new game without loud announcements.

Let’s start with great news for those who don’t want to move, but dreamed of working at Supercell. As part of the performance at the BAFTA Games Lecture, about which we wrote in detail yesterday, there was a funny announcement. Ilkka Paananen, CEO of the company, stated that Supercell is considering the possibility of cooperation with external teams.

Another news from Finland is not so joyful. Rovio has curtailed support for the Angry Birds: Ace Fighter project, launched in a softlonch in Singapore this summer. The game was a shareware scroll shooter in the spirit of the “Brave Link” from Neskinsoft. The project looked obsolete from the very start. And here the question is rather why it was launched, rather than why it was closed.

If you dreamed of trying the professional version of GameMaker: Studio, but thought that $150 for a “try” is too much, now you can do $1. Studio Professional is included in the latest collection of Humble Bundle, which is distributed according to the “pay as much as you want” model.

We have already written about the cooperation between Wargaming and Sega, in which the Valkyria Chronicles technique will appear in World of Tanks Blitz, but I also want to note that the question remains open why fantasy content is in a realistic (or striving for realism) project. That is, does it not destroy the principles that the authors of the tank action originally defended?

Our colleagues from Kotaku discovered that the studio of Peter Molyneux – 22Cans – launched a new project The Trail – A Frontier Journey without fanfare. The main thing that surprises here is exactly how the game was launched. It doesn’t look like Molyneux, who has not been stingy with promises before. The project itself can rightly be called a walking simulator with the possibility of crafting and trading. It looks pretty.

Well, the most important news, which we have already written about today. The Super Mario franchise will appear on mobile. Nintendo’s main gaming brand is moving beyond its native platform for the first time. Do you feel the significance of the moment? Yes, it’s just a cute runner. And paid. But it’s great. First, the game will be released on iOS (before Christmas), and then on Android.

Well, we’ll duplicate one more news. In two months, Pokémon Go has gained 500 million downloads. In eight weeks. It doesn’t matter that the game is now falling in popularity, it has already fit into history. And Niantic is already working on new projects.
