A lecture program has appeared on the website of the WN Eastern Europe hybrid conference. The organizers have planned about 60 reports on the business aspects of video game development. Among the speakers are Activision Blizzard, Ketchapp, Dark Horse Games and many others.
The future event is divided into online and offline parts:
- online lasts from July 1 to July 31;
- offline will be held in St. Petersburg from July 9 to 10.
Throughout the event on the WN Hub platform, participants will be able to communicate, call up, share experiences, demonstrate their projects to each other and, of course, find new contacts.
The lecture program is designed for 5 days. Three days — from July 1 to July 3 — as part of the online component. Two days — from July 9 to July 10 — as part of the already offline part, which bears a separate name — WN St. Petersburg’21.
Let’s focus on the program in a little more detail.
July 1-3
Among the central reports of the online component of WN Eastern Europe, we note:
- “How will the upcoming changes in European copyright and user protection laws affect game developers” — a speech by the Managing Director of EGDF concerning the norms that are just coming into force in Europe.
- “The Birth of Fury Studios” — the head of the studio will tell you why a major publisher of indie games Raw Fury decided to launch a development studio in Croatia, and at the same time share exactly how it happened.
- “Two months later. What is happening with advertising monetization in the post-IDFA world” — top managers of Fyber, Crazy Panda and Tilting Point will talk about how the introduction of the new Apple policy has hit eCPM.
- “Games and Brands” — the CEO of Dark Horse Games will highlight aspects of the work of one of the largest publishers of comics with games. Recall that at the disposal of the studio today are such brands as “Hellboy“, “Umbrella Academy“, “Sin City” and many others.
July 9-10
We pay attention to the following offline performances of WN St. Petersburg’21:
- “Unfortunately, our data collection platform helped to make a unique UX” — Alice Chumachenko‘s speech about working on the user experience of Sber Games products.
- “What we learned about LiveOps during the seven years of operating War Robots” — Pixonic‘s head of monetization will talk about what LiveOps is and how they work with it on a project about large walking robots.
- “How to choose the right character and the right angle to demonstrate the gameplay” — a representative of Ketchapp will share cases on working on the visual of hyper-casual games.
- “Time-limited events. How to implement and make it work” — the producer of AppQuantum will present 10 successful types of events, as well as highlight how their integration will affect the performance of the game project.
