From September 12 to 13, one of Cyprus's largest cities will host the autumn session of the WN Business Conference for Game Developers and Publishers. More than 800 participants and 40 speakers are expected, including representatives from Google, Unity, Playrix, G5, Belka Games, Nexters, Unfrozen, Nekki, Owlcat Games, and many other companies.
About the Event
WN Media Group is hosting the major autumn conference in Cyprus for the third consecutive year. Last year, the event took place on the same dates and attracted approximately 650 guests. The company first held a conference on the island in 2018.
The main part of this year’s event, as in previous years, will be held in the halls of the five-star Parklane hotel chain. The hotel is located along the Mediterranean Sea coast.
Speakers
The final conference agenda has already been published, with around 30 presentations planned. Here are some highlights:
- Arseniy Alikhanov, responsible for working with gaming companies at Google, will present a report on trends in the industry for the first half of 2024;
- Maksim Shatilov, head of the UA department at Playrix, will discuss the mobile gaming traffic situation in a live interview;
- Alexander Bezobrazov, marketing director at G5, will give a lecture on how to pitch games correctly;
- Maksim Amosov, lead monetization designer at Nekki, will share onboarding secrets.
There will also be roundtable discussions. For example, representatives from GEM Capital, Unfrozen, Eschatology Entertainment, and VEA Games will discuss small teams striking deals with international giants on the event’s first day. The participants have plenty to share. Unfrozen is currently working on a new Heroes of Might and Magic installment.
The event will feature a third track on both days. In this segment, the law firm Futura.digital, in collaboration with the immigration company Discus Holdings Private Clients, will conduct a series of personal consultations on legal topics.
Developers' Showcase
The Cyprus WN Conference will also serve as a platform for showcasing games in development by independent teams. More than 20 gaming products will be presented to conference attendees in this showcase.
Traditionally, showcase participants receive a free pass to the conference. However, to attend with a project, they need to hurry. Applications for participation in the showcase will be accepted until this Wednesday, September 4.
Additionally, there will be an expo area with sponsor booths. Among them are Moloco, Yandex Games, Google, Gamelight, TikTok, Xsolla, GEM Capital, Adjust, Discus Holdings Private Clients, Poolday, ClevarTap, Appier, Digital Turbine, and many more.
Tickets
Ticket prices for the conference start at 289 euros. This is the price for an indie ticket without access to parties (two are planned — a pre-party and a major party at the end of the first day). A ticket with pre-party access costs 549 euros, while a premium ticket is priced at 649 euros. Prices will increase closer to the event date.
Those who cannot attend in person but want to interact with participants can purchase an online ticket for 199 euros. This ticket provides access to the WN Hub meeting system, allowing interaction with all event guests and access to streaming of lectures.
