WN Media Group shared details about the first WN Conference in Turkey. The specific dates of the event, the venue, the expected number of guests, the starting pool of speakers and the features of the program became known.
And now about everything in order.
The event will be held in Istanbul in the first days of June — from the 7th to the 8th. The venue will be the International Istanbul Exhibition and Congress Center Lutfi Kırdar (Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar ICEC or simply ICEC). This is one of the main expo zones of the capital. Previously, UN and IMF conferences were held within its walls.
ICEC is located in Shishla. A popular area of Istanbul, which can be called its shopping center. The largest shopping areas of the city are concentrated here, as well as concert halls, restaurants and, importantly, hotels in abundance (Booking.com shows about 40 seats within walking distance from the congress center).
WN Istanbul’22 (this is the name of the upcoming event) traditionally for WN Media Group events will be held in a hybrid format. Those who will not be able to attend the event in person will have the opportunity to attend it online: watch lectures, chat or video, walk around the virtual exhibition area.
The digital component will work on the basis of the WN Hub platform and will be called WN MENA’22. For the convenience of users, it will be available to users from May 24 to June 24. That is, it will open earlier than WN Istanbul’22, and will close later.
Representatives of WN Media Group expect that the conference will be attended by more than 1,000 participants: publishers and developers of video games, specialized and not only investors, service providers, as well as representatives of gaming platforms and funds. The online version of the event will gather at least 1000 more guests.
The conference program has not yet been published. But the first speakers are known. These are mainly representatives of local teams involved in the development of both desktop and mobile games. Among the speakers who confirmed their participation: Simai Dinch (Recontact Games), Ismet Goksen (Ludus Ventures), Arslan Kiran (Hungri Games), Lamia Shreim (Tamatem Games) and many others.
Also, one of the features of the Turkish session of the WN Conference will be a separate large track dedicated to metaverse. Details about it will be published later. However, we note that among the speakers of the event will be representatives of Epic Games, which is actively engaged in this topic.
Tickets for WN Istanbul’22 start at €200 for developers and publishers. As for WN MENA’22, access to the virtual expo and the stream of lectures will be free, but the social functionality of the platform (talking about the ability to communicate with other guests of the event) will open only when paying for a ticket for €99.
