In October, with the support of Skolkovo, the 7th open competition and investment forum for projects in the field of IT – Web&Tech Ready will be held. Among the declared directions are gaming technologies.
The organizers position the event as “the largest information technology startup competition in Russia and Eastern Europe” with the task of “helping promising IT projects develop, attract investment and find partners.”
This is the first event for the non-profit foundation “Web Ready” after its renaming from Web Ready to Web&Tech Ready: the increase in directions required a name change. If earlier the event was devoted exclusively to mobile and Internet technologies, now software development, creation of wearable devices, and work on AI are among the interests.
The competition works in approximately the following way: startups apply for participation in the competition, after the end of admission they are considered, 40 semi-finalists are selected, from which nine main winners in three nominations (SEED, STARTUP, GROWTH) are already selected at the forum, but it is also possible to get into the winners through sponsor nominations (and additional nominations).
By the way, the acceptance of applications for Web&Tech Ready 2015 has already begun.
The final and the forum itself will be held in Moscow on October 21.
