The organizers of the White Nights gaming business conference recently posted the program of the St. Petersburg session.

According to the established tradition, the main event will be held for two days in three streams. However, the unofficial program starts a little earlier.

June 18

The day before the start of White Nights, the Finnish Consulate will host a networking event dedicated to the Finnish gaming industry. Representatives of Finnish indie companies will share the development features in Suomi.

In the evening of the same day, a pre-party will be held at the Scarlet Sails restaurant. In an informal setting, it will be possible to get acquainted, exchange business cards with guests and speakers of the conference.

June 19

30 performances are scheduled for the first day of the event. Among the central:

  • Blizzard — “Storytelling in communication” — about how the company builds the promotion of its products, using the example of the launch of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth.
  • Social Quantum — “Advertising monetization for non-hyper-casual games” — a story about the introduction of advertising in complex projects on the example of Megapolis and Wild West: New Frontier.
  • Pixonic — “Analytics: just a function or a tool” — a case about two approaches to game analytics using the example of working on War Robots.

Round tables will also be held on the first day of the conference. For example, Electronic Arts and Rovio will discuss the features of remote development in large companies. In turn, Tencent will take part in the discussion on the topic of attracting investment in games.

The day will end with a large-scale party on board the Flying Dutchman, a restaurant on the water.

June 20

Several dozen performances are also planned for the second day of the event. Among the main:

  • Playkot — “How to build a game design when operating” — the company’s leading designer will tell you which design solutions should be concentrated on after launching the game.
  • GameRefinery — “East and West: comparative analysis of genres, art and brands” — the lecture will be devoted to the comparison of the American and Chinese mobile games market.
  • 0xGames — “Game design of games with an open economy” — a story about how the blockchain games market looks like today and about its immediate development prospects.

On the second day of the conference, a large-scale Deconstruction Workshop will also be held, within which game experts will analyze four projects from the developers’ exhibition and award the best.

In addition to these companies, App Annie, Game Insight, Azur Games, Snapchat, GameAnalytics, Wargaming, Versus.Evil, Google, Odnoklassniki and many others will also participate in the conference as speakers.
