Next week — November 23-24 — the next WN Conference will be held in Israel. The final version of the program is already available on the event website. What to pay attention to in it is in our material.

The conference program is divided into two parts. Each has its own task, its own format and focus. They go parallel to each other.

The first part — lectures, public interviews and panel discussions

All three formats are well known to the participants of the WN Conference.

Lectures — thirty-minute speeches on business topics. For example:

  • Assaf Sagy, head of TikTok‘s global gaming division, will talk about why publishers have started positioning games as entertainment brands.;
  • Martin Macmillan, CEO of Pollen VC, in turn, will share how to estimate the cost of a studio engaged in the development of mobile games.

Public interviews are dynamic conversations that take place in real time right in the lecture hall. Let ‘s highlight the following:

  • a conversation about how the situation in the M&A market has affected the strategy of mobile game studios. The topic will be discussed by Alvaro Zapatero from Google with Gabriel Oltarz from Moonee;
  • discussion of the possibility of analyzing the mood of players and its impact on retention. The conversation will be conducted by Itamar Rogel from Affogata and Muriel Goldstein from Playstudios.

Panel discussions (they are also open round tables) — public hour-long conversations of three or more experts on stage. Note:

  • a session on the topic “What will happen to the financing of games in 2023“, among the participants of which are Roy Meirom, an investor in Sony Ventures, and Chen Leshez, director of corporate development at Playtika;
  • the session is about how the game’s support for UGC content affects the work with the purchase of traffic. The topic will be discussed by Liraz Dvora, the creative director of TikTok, and Or Shatz, the head of UA at Playtika.

The second program part of the conference is closed round tables

The organizers tried this format for the first time at the WN CEO Summit’19 in Barcelona.

Its essence is the lack of an audience. The participants gathered at the table — as a rule, top managers and company owners – do not have an audience, and the conversation is as open as possible. Communication of participants is supported by a moderator.

The number of seats at the tables is limited. Therefore, to participate in any of them, you must first register.

Of those that interested the editors:

  • round table on working with the first investments, where Andrey Podoprigora from The Games Fund acts as moderator;
  • a round table about the challenges that game managers face today. Marina Lopatina from Talents In Games will be the moderator here.
