It’s too early to rest! The organizers of the White Nights Prague 2018 conference have started accepting applications for participation in the Indie Game Cup competition. The reception is open only until January 24.
The projects that will take part in the competition will compete with each other for the title of the best games of the winter White Nights Conference, which will be held in the Czech capital on February 13-14 next year.
In total, five traditional nominations for the contest are planned:
- best graphics;
- best game design;
- the best plot;
- the best VR;
- grand prix.
The application can be left at this link. In order for the application to be approved, in addition to general information about the team and the upcoming game, the developer will need to provide:
- working build;
- gameplay video.
Only projects in the beta stage and above will be allowed to participate in the competition. However, the organizers note that they will be able to accept alpha versions, but only if the gameplay is implemented in the build and there will be no problems with the launch and operation of the game.
Another important condition for participation is the small size of the team (up to 15-20 people). It’s still about the indie developer competition.
The selection of winners will take place in several stages. The primary one is based on the gameplay video and the description of the features. At the second stage , the editorial board App2Top.ru and the organizers will play the selected games and make a shortlist of 15-20 projects. The third stage is the final one – a special grand jury will secretly vote for the winners, which will include representatives of the leaders of the gaming industry.
The winners will be announced at the award ceremony on February 14, 2018.
Indie Game Cup is a competition of game projects from independent teams, which takes place within each session of the White Nights Conference since the summer of 2015. The winners of the contest were previously: Gods & Glory, The Final Station, Mushroom Wars 2, The Unknown, Redeemer and others.
