In 2019, Talents In Games, a recruitment platform for job search in the gaming industry, began holding regular meetings of HR specialists in the industry. This year she will continue to do so. The other day, the platform announced the schedule of events for 2020.
Recall that the initiative is officially called Morning TIG Chat. These are chamber events where HR-s share insights, problems, cases with each other. The organizers say that such an event format allows:
- learn new approaches in your field;
- better understand the gaming labor market;
- establish communication between HR professionals.
The first meeting this year has already been held in St. Petersburg on February 7. It gathered more than 20 participants, there were representatives of Axlebolt, Azur Games, Banzai Games, Creative Mobile, Gaijin Entertainment, KamaGames Studio, Larian Studios, MYTONA, Nevosoft, Playrix, Social Quantum, Sperasoft, TRACE studio, Vizor Games and Wargaming SPb.
The main reasons for the dismissal of employees were discussed, as well as the effectiveness of hunting in the gaming industry. The head of Talents In Games Marina Lopatina also shared the results of a joint with App2Top.ru research, according to which more than 30% of gaming specialists change jobs once every two years.
Six more similar events are planned for 2020. They will not be limited to Russia. Two of them will be held in the capital of Ukraine, and the next one will be held in Minsk this April. The full schedule of meetings looks like this:
- April 3 – in Minsk;
- May 13 – in Moscow;
- June 24 – in St. Petersburg;
- August 5 – in Kiev;
- October 13 – in Moscow;
- November 13 – in Kiev.
